Key Features:

Superior Moisture Retention: Coco coir’s sponge-like structure retains moisture effectively, ensuring consistent hydration for mushroom mycelium throughout the cultivation cycle.
Excellent Aeration: Its fibrous texture promotes air circulation within the substrate, preventing compaction and maintaining optimal oxygen levels for colonisation.
Sustainability: Coco coir is a renewable resource made from coconut husks, making it environmentally friendly compared to peat moss.
pH Neutral: Coco coir has a neutral pH, which can be beneficial for a wide range of plants as it provides a stable growing medium.

Benefits:

Enhanced Mycelial Growth: Coco coir’s optimal moisture and aeration properties create an ideal environment for mycelial colonisation, leading to faster substrate colonisation and higher yields.
Consistent Moisture Levels: The superior moisture retention capacity of coco coir ensures a stable humidity level within the substrate, crucial for promoting healthy mushroom fruiting.
Longevity: Coco coir decomposes slowly, providing a stable growing medium for extended periods without breaking down too quickly.
Versatility: It can be used alone or blended with other substrates to create custom potting mixes suitable for various plants and growth stages.

Substrate Preparation:

Hydrate coco coir blocks with hot water. Our recommendation is to use 5.2g water for every gram of coco, 5kg hydrates to 70 Liters.
